Rubén Novo
Cro-Mags é unha banda hardcore punk de Nova Iorque, formada no 1981. Nos seus primeiros anos, os membros viviron en edificios abandonados, queimados ou nas rúas da cidade.
Lanzaron cinco álbums de estudo, sendo os primeiros dous considerados coma os máis influentes. Cun pano de fondo hare krishna nas devanditas cancións, foron pioneiros en mesturar hardcore punk con thrash metal, e tamén vencellados ao nacemento dunha atitude máis dura nos adentros da escea hardcore a finais dos 80s, co vencello co mundo das artes marciais. Harley Flanagan (ex-baterista de The Stimulators) e John Joseph som practicantes de Jiu-jitsu brasileiro e boxeo respectivamente.
